* A.A.I.R. (Control and Instrumentation Association of Romania) is the professional, not for profit, non governmental, autonomous and non political association, which brings together specialists from all the Control and Intrumentation fields from Romania: supply (producers, distributors, service), end users, designing, research, metrology, Romanian Authorities for regulations and prices in the energy and natural gas field, technical universities.
* A.A.I.R. was set up on December 17,1991. Up to August 3, 2000 its name was A.I.R. (Instrument Association of Romania).
* Today A.A.I.R. has over 500 individual members (engineers) and over 80 legal persons, on two levels, respectivelly collective members or sustaining members.
* Some companies, which are A.A.I.R. members, represents foreign companies from both fields, technical measurements and automation.
* A.A.I.R. is an organisation opened to the interests of all specialists which develop their activities in the measurement technics and automation fields, no matter the administrative structure.
* In conclusion, A.A.I.R. establishes an objective strategy which can result in the development of the control and instrumentation field in Romania.
